MetaDraft ("we", "us", "our") operates the MetaDraft mobile application and website at metadrafts.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Anonymous session identifier (created automatically on first use)
- Google account info if you choose to link (name, email, profile photo)
- Apple account info if you choose to sign in with Apple
- Username and display name you set in your profile
Gameplay Data
- Draft picks, roster selections, and game results
- Leaderboard scores and rankings
- Draft ticket balance and purchase history
Technical Data
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Crash logs and performance data (via standard iOS diagnostics)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the draft game experience
- To display your profile, scores, and rankings to other players
- To process in-app purchases and manage draft tickets
- To improve the app and fix bugs
- To prevent abuse and enforce fair play
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider (stores account and gameplay data)
- Apple — processes in-app purchases via the App Store
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google
- balldontlie — NBA stats API (we send no user data to this service)
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. Anonymous accounts that have not been used for 12 months may be deleted. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
6. Children's Privacy
MetaDraft is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
7. In-App Purchases
MetaDraft offers optional in-app purchases for draft tickets. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information — all billing is handled by Apple.
8. Your Rights
You can:
- Access your profile data through the app
- Update your username, display name, and bio in the Profile tab
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Sign out at any time from the Profile settings
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies on our database, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or website. Continued use of MetaDraft after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
